We provide accurate and comprehensive advice on all town planning related matters, with particular expertise in masterplanning and applications for rezoning, subdivision, strata titling and material change of use.

HPC has experience across a variety of seniors living and aged care projects and is currently advising investors and developers on a number of market leading integrated golf course and retirement village developments. We guide clients through acquisition, development strategy, planning and environmental regulations, masterplanning and final development approval.

In addition to our retirement and aged care project portfolio, we work collaboratively with health-care operators and developers in obtaining approvals for new health and community care facilities, including medical centres, doctor’s surgeries, dental practices, specialised care centres and rehabilitation clinics, as well as extensions to existing health care facilities.

  • Working closely with Domino’s Pizza on a variety of development applications for new restaurants and extension of trading hours to existing restaurants.
  • Obtaining development approvals on behalf of McDonald’s, including a shopping centre and fast food outlet at East Side Village in Toowoomba.
  • Securing development approval for Gambaro’s Hotel, Function Centre and Restaurant in Brisbane’s premier entertainment precinct on Caxton Street.

Minerals & Waste

HPC have been working with clients such as Lantrak, Bio-Recycle (Aust) and Bettergrow for the past two decades obtaining development approvals for large and complex landfill sites in South East Queensland. These sites were constrained by underground mining, open cut mining, high walls, spontaneous combustion, rising ground water and geotechnical stability issues.

HPC also provide strategic advice on increasing the capacity and height of existing landfill projects. HPC were recently commissioned to identify a portfolio of suitable landfill sites for clients, undertake due diligence, provide strategic advice and negotiate heads of agreement including the terms and conditions for the acquisition of these properties.
