Ingham’s Food Processing and Cold Storage Facility
Lytton, Brisbane
HPC obtained development approval for an extension to Ingham’s Food Processing and Cold Storage Facility in Lytton. The facility operations involve the delivery of cold and frozen poultry to the site for processing, packing, dry storing or freezing prior to distribution. The proposal included additional ancillary office space, new plant room, relocation of the battery recharge area, refurbishment of the existing recessed loading dock and construction of an additional 6 docks, together with new manoeuvring areas and awnings.
The food processing activities involve an annual production in excess of 200 tonnes per annum and therefore constitutes a High Impact Industry in accordance with Schedule 1 of City Plan 2014. A Material Change of Use application seeking an Extension to High Impact Industry was therefore necessary.
HPC led on the Infrastructure Charges negotiation, ensuring that all existing and approved buildings and hardstand present on the subject site were claimed as infrastructure credits.
